Another nice, painterly cover from Tom Kidd, which conveys the nautical flavor of the book very well. Unfortunately, Julian seems to have been going to the same gym Silverhair did, and spending more time there. At any rate he looks like a contestant for Mr. America. Rana seems to have become a blonde, and her clothing has miraculously survived.

Book Four of the Chronicles of Westria

Julian, long-lost son of Queen Faris and King Jehan had returned. Yet he still had to prove his heritage before the healing of the kingdom of Westria can begin.

To gain the throne he must search out and master the four great Jewels of Power, lost in the magical cataclysm that had destroyed his parents long ago. But Caolin, jealous Blood Lord and Sorceror, author of the great destruction, still lives. Only the Jewels stand between him and total power. If Julian dies and Caolin succeeds in his terrible ambition, Westria is doomed.

And the Sea Star lies hidden, waiting to be found, to be mastered, used for good or evil.

Clearly the painter for the UK edition took his inspiration from the US cover, not the book. Rana is still a blonde in a red dress, but the story seems to be taking place off the coast of Cornwall. At least those rocks look a lot like Tintagel.
