Fourth in the Chronicles of Westria, The Sea Star
US Cover US Back Cover Copy Only One Prince Can Save the Land
Julian, the long-lost son of Queen Faris and King Jehan, has returned to hear the kingdom of Westria. But he cannot prove his heritage and gain the throne except by searching out and mastering one by one the four great Jewels of Power lost in the magical cataclysm that destroyed his parents years ago.
And Caolin, the jealous Blood Lord, the Sorcerer who was the author of the great destruction, still lives. The Jewels alone stand between him and utter dark power, from which Westria will never recover. Caolin’s lust for Julian’s death knows no bounds.
And the Sea Star lies hidden, waiting to be found, to be mastered, for good or evil.
The chronicles of Westria continue. Read SILVERHAIR THE WANDERER andTHE EARTHSTONE, now available from Tor, and look for THE WIND CRYSTAL, coming soon.
Cover commentary by Diana and Lorrie: Another nice, painterly cover from Tom Kidd, which conveys the nautical flavor of the book very well. Unfortunately, Julian seems to have been going to the same gym Silverhair did, and spending more time there. At any rate he looks like a contestant for Mr. America. Rana seems to have become a blonde, and her clothing has miraculously survived.

Previously published: Lady of Light, Lady of Darkness, Silverhair the Wanderer, The Earthstone.
Cover Commentary by Diana: Clearly the painter for the UK edition took his inspiration from the US cover, not the book. Rana is still a blonde in a red dress, but the story seems to be taking place off the coast of Cornwall. At least those rocks look a lot like Tintagel.
